The In-Flight adjustable IVO Prop utilizes the same carbon/graphite blades with stainless steel leading edges as the ground adjustable version. This in-flight version uses a cam arrangement in conjunction with a geared DC motor. The system operates on a 12 volt motorcycle or aircraft battery. This motor and the planetary gear box is enclosed with IVO Prop's standard aluminum spinner. You control the pitch through the toggle switch mounted in the cockpit. The blade pitch is adjustable over a range of about 12¡. It takes about 5 seconds to go through the full range of pitch adjustments. The pitch change operations similar to the power windows in a car. As long as you hold the switch one way the pitch goes up. The other way the pitch goes down. You can observe the result on your RPM meter.
